About Us
Snowy Range Vision Center has a rich history in Laramie.
- 1939 – Dr. A. Docter began practicing optometry in Laramie.
- 1966 – Dr. James A. Boucher purchased the practice of Dr. Docter. This practice was located in the Converse Building on Ivinson.
- 1967 – Dr. Boucher moved the practice to 211 Grand Ave, the Wagner Building, after the Converse Building was purchased, torn down, and turned in to a parking lot.
- 1974 – Dr. Boucher partnered with Dr. Tom McGarvey, a local dentist. Together they built a dental-optometry clinic on the corner of 8th Street and Grand Ave.
- 1980 – Dr. Sue E. Lowe joined the practice and became a partner in 1982.
- 1995 – Dr. Boucher and Dr. Lowe built the current Snowy Range Vision Center at the corner of Garfield and 30th Street.
- 1997 – Dr. Gary Poteet became a partner in the practice.
- 2015 – Dr. Amy Aldrich Lytle joined Snowy Range Vision Center.
- 2023 – Dr. Garrett Howell joined the practice.
